the urban physic garden

So I snuck off for a little lunchtime adventure with Boy yesterday. First we went for some delicious Japanese food at Tsuru, katsu curry… mmmnnnn. Then we wandered over to explore the Urban Physic Garden.

Set on Union Street just a short walk from London Bridge, the Urban Physic Garden blooms on a slice of neglected London land, with many different types of plants each with a medicinal property. The sun came out for long enough for us to have a proper explore and a game of skip ping-pong.

I loved this moss wall, it sort of looked like an aerial photograph. They also had a great way of taking seeds home to grow yourself; little test tubes filled with seeds were set in rows which you could empty into little pill capsules to take home with you, we got rosemary.

Well worth a wonder down to, the Urban Physic Garden will be open until the 15th of August and until then have a number of different events going on.
