So here we are, Boy and i safely returned to our little London flat. After an amazing week of sunshine (believe me – it’s incredibly rare this time of year), tree planting, cycling, barbecues, walking and various watersports we are now taking a day of rest and pottering in the garden.
If any of you get the chance to go up and visit the west coast of Scotland, you really must go. The landscape is beautiful and changes instantly with a move in light, from rough and rugged to lush and green. In past visits we’ve done a lot of sightseeing castles and the like, but this week we took it easy and spent lots of time outdoors, with the exception of a visit to the Oban Whiskey Distillery.
So the bottom photo doesn’t look like much but believe it or not we planted over 200 saplings on this little plot of land over the week, fingers crossed in 5 years I’ll have an amazing before and after shot for you – for now you’ll have to make do with the ‘before’.
